February 27, 2018 2nd week in the field- DOGS!
This week was busy and great. We are getting a lot of new investigators. One is a lady named Josie, I think I wrote a bit about her last week. We found her through tracting. We had dinner with a family in the ward this week that Josie said she knew from high school. We told them about Josie and they were really excited because they took her to seminary and stuff when she was in high school. We took the members with us to a lesson with Josie and her husband and the Spirit was really strong. It was great to see their reunion. We invited them to work towards baptism and they accepted!
We also had a good lesson with a girl named Vanessa she has two young kids and is a cute family.
We had exchanges this week and Sister Walters went to a different area and Sister Grant and I stayed here with Sister Overson we did a lot of tracting with her. I think some of the people did not notice when we came back with a different Sister because both Sister Walters and Overson have red hair.
Apparently it has been really cold this week about with it being around 60 degrees. It is kind of funny to see everyone wearing big coats when it is warm and sunny, although I will probably be to hot when it gets warmer.
We had a scary run in with some dogs. We walked about to a house that had five big dogs all sitting on the porch not hooked up at all. Sister Grant and I saw them and started to back up. Sister Walters has a fearless love of dogs and kept going forward. They ran up to us and were barking really hard. I remembered Cory's experience in West Yellowstone where he ran away from a dog so I knew to stand my ground. I stood there and told the dogs no no. Sister Grant was telling Sister Walters to come back and for me not to tell the dogs no. Eventually the owner came out and called the dogs off. I was grateful that we were alright and I feel that we were protected.
Love,
Sister Vernon
Some people didn't know we had a different sister with us when we did exchanges
