December 31, 2018 Broken Bike

It was great being able to talk to all of you on Christmas. We got to watch the William's kids open presents which was really fun. They were so cute and excited for Christmas.
Starting on Christmas Sister Kovach got sick so we spent a lot of time resting this week, so the week was kind of slow. Sister Kron went out with me twice while her companion stayed with Sister Kovach.

When Sister Kron went out with me and we came back to our apartment it looked like both our companions were sleeping. So we took the crockpot that I was making chicken in and went to eat it in the backyard so not to wake then up. When we got there we texted them that we were in the backyard having dinner and that they could join us. They came out a few minutes later and apparently had not even been sleeping. So we had a nice picnic together outside.

We taught Rachel again, she wants to share what she is learning with her children and her friends which is really exciting. She is nervous to come to Church, so we are trying to set up a Chapel tour with her. Sister Kovach and I decided to would be a good idea to bike to the Church to get ready for our Church tour with Rachel. Sister Kovach still was not feeling the best, but she wanted to go. We got to the Church fine, but when we got their Sister Kovach was worn out. She did not want to bike back, but we did not really have another choice. I asked Sister Kovach if she would go in front of me so we could go her pace, but she wanted me to go first. When I got to a light I looked back and Sister Kovach was nowhere to be seen. I waited a few minutes, because I thought she must have decided to walk up the hill. She still was not there after a few minutes, so I started walking back to her. Then a guy on a bike rides up to me and tells me that Sister Kovach's bike is broken and not rideable. I then walked back to Sister Kovach and the part of the bike that has the chain on it was completely messed up. We ended up calling a member to come get us and left our bikes at a random person's house and got them later with help from other Missionaries. Long story short Sister Kovach does not have a bike right now and says she will not bike to the Bear Valley Building again.

Love, Sister Vernon
