May 14, 2018-new companion!

 A picture from when we went to Fallbrook, the Avocado Capital of the World to do service with a big group of missionaries.

Making cinnamon rolls with the YW, they are selling them as a fund raiser for girls camp.

At the beginning of the week I was helping Sister Walters get ready to move. We had to be careful how we packed her stuff because it barely fit in our car. We did it basically the same us how we packed my stuff when I was going to and from Rexburg. We stopped by some places and Sister Walters said goodbye to the ward.
I got to spend a couple of hours with the Hermanas while waiting for Sister Henrie to arrive. I went to a lesson with them. I did not understand very much, but I understood some. They also gave me Mexican chicken dish that a member gave them. It was fun to try.
I then got to meet Sister Henrie my new companion. She had been serving in Carlsbad YSA  so she is transitioning into working in a Family ward. She is from Star Idaho and has 6 siblings and falls in the middle. She is very nice and works hard
Since we now cover almost twice as much we have been busying getting to know the new area. The Elders Quorum President and the Relief Society President gave us lists of people to visit and get to know.  
We did service clearing land for a member in a different ward. We moved a bunch of wood from avocado trees he had cut down. It was fun, but my arms were sore afterwards. Sister Henrie found a Rattlesnake while moving the wood. I wouldn't  go close enough to look and see what kind of snake it was. So we got the member to come look at it was a Rattlesnake. Another Sister found another Rattlesnake. I am glad I was not the one to find them. We were.all protected and none of us got hurt.
I loved talking to you yesterday, you are the best family ever!

August 12, 2018 Last Monday Sister Mabunga and I were in charge of a game for the entire Zone to play. We tried spoons which did not work very well because they wanted to do extreme spoons and hide them throughout the Church and then no one could find the spoons. We also played Reverse Charades which went great. We came up with the things to act out and everyone got really involved. We volunteered at the Food Pantry this week. I was the banana lady and was in charge of the bananas. It was fun to help with that. Someone was driving us home yesterday and I looked out the window and saw Candy, someone we had taught once and have been unable to contact since then. Her phone stopped working and we did not have her address. We pulled over and got out of the car and chased her down. We were able to get her address for the Young SA Sisters so they can teach her. Hello family! This week was great we started teaching our trcs or our practice  investigators.  We taught two different people. A girl named Christine progressed great with us and completed all the commitment we give her. She even prayer with us which was special. Our other trc  was a little harder for us to teach. She is from Mongolia and grew up Buddhist, because of that she does not understand how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are and why we need them in our lives. Sister  Fish and I tried to help her and I think is she continues to be taught at the MTC she will progress.  I also lost my water bottle this week. I left it in our orientation  for teaching trcs and when we came back for it it was gone. We looked in several lost and founds but I haven't found it yet. White washing- going to new places

May 20, 2019 ELLAINA We got transfers news. We normally get a text with were we are going Saturday morning, but it got delayed until Saturday night, which seemed like forever. Sister Rigby is going home today and I am going to Temecula. It is another full time bike area and it will be my second time biking in the hottest part of the mission. My new companion Sister Stoddard is from Grand Junction Colorado, and will be my 3rd companion from Colorado. She will also be new to the area. So I am whitewashing out and whitewashing in. With the mission split that means that unless something crazy happens next transfer I will be in the Riverside mission for the last transfer of my mission.   We were able to visit Stanley who we have not seen since we stopped teaching him. We had good visits with both of then. Stanley has said he has been thinking about everything a lot and he was happy to see us. He still is not ready though, but he is getting there.
