First letter

Hello, At the start of  the week I was busy getting ready for my mission. The parents and I got caught up on all the Once Upon A Time. In the  evening we  went to President Foster's house  so I could  be set apart as a missionary .  It was memorable because the power in our house went out while we were getting ready. It  was an adventure  having to get ready in the dark.  My  parents and I drove to Utah so they could drop me off at the MTC (the  Mormon tabernacle choir) just kidding the missionary training center although we do sing lots of hymns.  There was some snow and ice on the drive, but we made it safely. It was amazing seeing Aaron, Emily, Gabe, Kate, and Cory. It was extra fun going to the children's museum in Lehi with them. My family and I had a tearful good bye  when they dropped me off at the MTC. I miss you, but it is good to be serving the Lord and making new friends. My companion is Sister Fish s...

Easter & General Conference

April 2, 2018 We had a zone BBQ on Monday before Sister Grant went home. Our zone was split into two zones this transfer so it was our last time all together. The BBQ was good and we brought cinnamon rolls. It was fun to be outside at the park. We then dropped Sister Grant off at the Mission Office and said goodbye. So now it is just me and Sister Walters.  We had a great time visiting Sister OConnor a lady in our ward that has been in the hospital and now is in a care facility. She is super sweet and we sing her songs every week when we visit.  I had my first run in with some one that bashes the scriptures. He told us that he had read The Book of Mormon and that it teaches all this horrible stuff in it and it is inspired it is not of God. I told him that is not what is written in the Book of Mormon. Sister Walters did a good job of testifying and bearing her testimony. It was an interesting experience and hopefully I get better at responding to those situations....

June 17, 2018 Leaving first area

We got transfers this week. I will be going to Murrieta. I will be transitioning to full time bike which will be different. My new companion will be Sister Mabunga she is from the Philippines. On Tuesday we got an online Referral from mormon.org for a girl named Lucky. We visited her and I had even knocked on her door before when we were tracting. We taught her about the Restoration and she seems really excited to learn more. She was impressed that we came by so fast. She has a friend that is on a mission and gets his letters. She was excited to have a Book of Mormon so that she can look up the scriptures he talks about. We think she is YSA so other missionaries will probably have to teach her. We started teaching a lady named Caroline that the YSA Sisters have been teaching. They told us they wanted to invite her to be baptized on July 14.
